Welcome to First Baptist Church of Maricopa
Many churches today have become cluttered, so cluttered that people have a difficult time encountering the simple and powerful message of Christ. So cluttered that many people are busy doing church instead of being the church. Jesus Christ provided a simple vision and purpose for the church and they are found in Matthew 22:34-40 (what we call the Great Commandment) and Matthew 28:19-20 (what we call the Great Commission).

Church Announcements – UPDATED 12/24/2016

Hello Friends and Family,

It is with great sadness that we here at First Baptist Church of Maricopa extend a heartfelt goodbye to Pastor Jim Johnson as he steps down as pastor of FBCM and moves on to the next chapter of his life. We have been so very blessed to have him at the pulpit for these past 15+ years. Sadly, though, he must now move on to see to his sweet wife, Miss Terry, who is struggling through the advanced stages of Alzheimer’s. All of our Prayers go with him as he walks through this terribly difficult season.

Oh, but our God is an Awesome God—and He had a beautiful plan in place for our church family long before we knew things were changing. So as we move forward…yet stay unashamedly the same in being true to God’s Word…we now have the honor and great joy, to welcome Kevin Treacy as our new Pastor, along with his beautiful wife, Colleen, and their three wonderful children. (Bio available soon)

The one thing that will never change here at First Baptist, is our endeavor to Glorify God in everything we do.

We will continue to Love God…Love Others…and Serve All.

We are still trying to get settled back into the church. The following ministries will resume January 31st. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
  • Food Bank
  • Helping Hands and Loving Hearts
