The primary consideration for membership in the First Baptist Church family is what we call being saved. It involves calling out to God asking Him to forgive you of sins and inviting Jesus to come into your heart. This involves a commitment of your life to serve and follow Jesus for the rest of your life. Jesus gives to us a home in Heaven and eternal life.
Pray to receive Jesus as your Savior and commit your life to Him. Then publicly declare your faith in Jesus by sharing it with the church family during the invitation and follow the Lord in believer’s baptism.
If you are a member of a sister Southern Baptist Church and feel like God would have you plant your life and ministry here at First Baptist Church you may do so through promise of letter. You may come and present yourself for membership during the invitation on a promise of letter from your former church.
If you have been saved and do not remember where your last church membership is or you are coming from another denomination you may come by statement of faith. If you are coming from another denomination we may ask that you be baptized into the fellowship of First Baptist Church.
