The Master’s Academy International (TMAI) - Central African Preaching Academy (CAPA)
Training Pastors. Strengthening Churches. Advancing the Gospel.

Our church is blessed to support the Central African Preaching Academy (CAPA)—a ministry in Lilongwe, Malawi, dedicated to training faithful men to preach God’s Word with clarity, conviction, and care. CAPA exists to strengthen local churches throughout Africa by equipping pastors and church leaders to rightly handle the Scriptures and shepherd God’s people with biblical integrity.

About CAPA
Founded in 2014, CAPA is part of The Master’s Academy International (TMAI) network of training centers. Its mission is to glorify God by establishing and strengthening churches through the expository preaching of God’s Word.

Students receive rigorous theological and pastoral training through classroom instruction, personal mentoring, and hands-on ministry experience. The curriculum emphasizes the authority and sufficiency of Scripture, sound doctrine, and the centrality of the gospel in all of life and ministry.

Why It Matters
In much of Africa, churches face significant challenges from false teaching, prosperity theology, and a lack of biblical training for pastors. CAPA addresses these needs by equipping men who are already serving in local congregations—so that they, in turn, can faithfully teach, lead, and disciple others.

Graduates of CAPA are now shepherding churches across Malawi and neighboring countries, spreading gospel light in places where biblical truth is desperately needed.

How Our Church Partners
Through our financial support and prayer, we help CAPA:
  • Train national pastors to preach God’s Word accurately and passionately.
  • Provide theological resources in both English and Chichewa, equipping leaders in their own language.
  • Extend training to rural regions, reaching pastors who would otherwise have little access to formal instruction.
  • Strengthen the church in Africa by fostering gospel unity and doctrinal faithfulness.
Our Ongoing Commitment
We rejoice that God is using CAPA to raise up a generation of biblically grounded church leaders. As a church, we count it a privilege to participate in this ministry—through prayer, giving, and partnership—for the advancement of Christ’s kingdom in Africa and beyond.

“The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” — 2 Timothy 2:2
HeartCry Missionary Society
Supporting Indigenous Missionaries. Advancing Biblical Churches. Magnifying Christ.

Our church is honored to partner with HeartCry Missionary Society, a ministry founded by Paul Washer that is committed to planting, strengthening, and multiplying biblical churches around the world by supporting and equipping indigenous missionaries.

About HeartCry

Mission / Purpose
HeartCry seeks to glorify God and make His Name great among the nations by equipping and mobilizing indigenous missionaries and partnering with local churches to spread the gospel.

They emphasize that indigenous missionaries—those from their own culture, language, and community—are uniquely placed to reach their people with the gospel.

History & Scale
  • HeartCry was founded in 1988 when Paul Washer was serving as a missionary in Peru.
  • Over time, the ministry has grown to support hundreds of indigenous missionaries across dozens of countries.
  • Today, they partner with and support indigenous laborers in many regions, including Africa, Asia, Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East.
What HeartCry Does
1. Missionary Support & Mobilization
HeartCry provides financial, logistical, and material support to indigenous missionaries, helping remove barriers that impede full-time ministry.

2. Church Planting
They view church planting as the central goal of missions: not just evangelism, but establishing self-sustaining, biblical churches.

3. Chapel Construction & Infrastructure Aid
In places where local congregations lack meeting places, HeartCry assists in acquiring property and building chapels to facilitate regular worship and growth.

4. Equipping, Training & Resources
They provide ongoing theological training, distribute literature and theological works, and help indigenous workers grow in doctrine, leadership, and ministry skill.

5. Media & Publishing
HeartCry publishes books, theological resources, and media (sermons, articles) in multiple languages to support missionaries and churches globally.

Core Principles & Strategy
  • Partnership, not oversight
HeartCry does not act as an external controlling authority. They labor in partnership with local churches, always respecting church autonomy.
  • Thorough selection & accountability
Candidates for support are rigorously tested by both the local church and HeartCry to ensure doctrine, character, and calling. Accountability is maintained through local churches and ecclesiastical oversight.
  • Support scaled to context
Support is adapted to the economic realities of each country. They aim to provide dignity, not luxury.
  • Goal of autonomy
From the start, the goal is for churches and missionaries to become self-reliant. Support may be adjusted or phased out as maturity is reached.
Why It Matters
  • Cultural credibility & reduced barriers
Indigenous missionaries carry less cultural baggage—language, social ties, and identity—making gospel work more effective.
  • Long-term sustainability
By working through local churches and emphasizing autonomy, HeartCry’s model avoids dependency and fosters enduring growth.
  • Strategic resource use
In many countries, supporting indigenous laborers is more economical and efficient than sending foreign missionaries.
  • Church multiplication
Their commitment is not only to individuals but to planting new churches and strengthening existing ones.
How Our Church Partners with HeartCry
  • Financial support & sponsorship
We contribute to HeartCry’s missionary funds to enable indigenous laborers to devote full time to ministry, with dignity.
  • Prayer support
Standing in prayer for missionaries in difficult fields, for protection, wisdom, and spiritual fruit.
  • Resource sharing & communication
Helping disseminate HeartCry publications, media, and updates to our congregation to raise awareness and spiritual engagement.
  • Encouragement & belonging
Sending letters, affirmations, and connection to missionaries as brothers and sisters in Christ, reinforcing their encouragement.
  • Accountability alignment
Ensuring our own support is consistent with biblical and HeartCry’s principles — integrity, transparency, and mission alignment.

That His Name be great among the nations.” — HeartCry’s motto and prayer (inspired by Malachi 1:11)
